Frequently asked questions.
first Steps?
After booking your free 15 minute consultation with me, we will chat over the phone to discern whether or not we are a right fit. This consultation time is not only for me to decide whether I am equipped to take you on as a client, but also for you to decide if I seem like the right therapist for you. If we both decide to move forward, we will book the initial session. The first session consists of gathering information about your personal therapy goals, and just overall getting to know one another. Sessions last 50 minutes, and will begin with weekly meetings and can eventually taper down to bi-weekly sessions as well.
What’s the cost? Do you take insurance?
My full fee is currently $200. I also take into consideration that some may not be in a space to be able to afford my full fee, whether because of low-paying jobs, or not benefiting from generational wealth even with a well-paying job. For this reason, I offer a sliding scale fee of $150 or less. Please discuss this with me if it sounds like you would be in need of this financial assistance. I do not take insurance at this time, but can provide you with a superbill. A superbill gives you all the necessary information for submitting an out of network claim to your insurance. A reimbursement might be possible per your agreement with them.
I cannot guarantee a reimbursement will occur and payment is due at time of service.
How do I choose the right therapist for me?
Finding the right therapist can at times be a difficult process. Some things to consider: Does this person have experience in my issue(s)? Does this person’s values or personality meet mine? I encourage my clients to provide any feedback for sessions and work collaboratively with you to provide you with services that are validating and relatable for you. However, if you decide I am not the therapist for you, I will support you in finding possible referrals for services.
